My name is Anthony Fidler and I am a qualified Holistic Aromatherapist based in the West Byfleet, Woking and Guildford area of Surrey.

I have a particular interest in emotional & mental health work i.e. acute and chronic anxiety, depression, stress disorders, psychosomatic illnesses and psychosis and hope to specialise in this area eventually.
There are also very many people who experience a state of being which though not dramatic or disabling has a subtle feeling of emptiness to it which lingers in the background. A kind of disconnection from or loss of soul. No one around may be aware and the individual may block it out as well much of the time but it will reappear in quiet moments when the distractions we surround ourselves with are absent.

I am also available for more general aromatherapy massage work.
Many of the symptoms of bodily discomfort we experience such as back pain are largely emotional in nature and will pass away when the emotions are brought back into consciousness, processed and let go of and the essential oils along with energetic body work can facilitate this journey.
Obviously the physical element is also present and good massage supported with the quality oils which feed the body muscles and joints can do much to help.
I believe everyone can benefit from sensitive mind/body work.
For me, the work is to facilitate the journey for the individual towards a more balanced and mature state of being in which the symptoms which are experienced are no longer 'required' and hence pass away.
For Summer 2010, I'm not working from a clinic but may be available for home visits in the West Byfleet, Woking and Guildford area.
Session Timing:
My sessions last for an hour and a quarter which allows time for a natural consultation and at least an hour's massage which may be full body or with some extra focus on specific areas. The first session will include a consultation for up to 20 minutes leaving about 55 minutes to an hour for the massage.
My fees for 2010 are £40 per session within the West Byfleet, Woking area.
Home visits may incurr an extra charge of £10 - please discuss for visits further afield. I am happy to treat two friends at one site without any additional home visit charge.
What do I actually do?
Holistic Aromatherapy & Massage is the use of essential oils and bodywork to heal and transform a person beyond just treating symptoms to actually working on the underlying causes and patterns that are out of balance in the person.
I chose to train with ITHMA because the college integrates the use of Aromatherapy Oils into a Chinese Medicine Framework. This framework gives a deeper and more solid foundation for rationally and intuitively choosing a blend of essential oils to match the clients needs.
I use Swedish Massage as a basic framework for my session, because I value the simple benefits of compassionate and pleasant touch on the skin. This appears to be under-valued in our clincal pharmaceutical driven medical World.
Within this framework I work intuitively with my own personal healing touch which is influenced by Shiatsu and Seiki and my many years of Qi development work with Tai Chi, Buddhist Vipassana and Zen Meditation.
The therapeutic aspect to the session comes from the synergistic blend of the whole experience.
